What does your homepage tell machines?

This check reads the JSON-LD structured data on your homepage and lists the schema.org types it declares, alongside the title and meta description. A word of honesty first: there is no evidence that schema markup by itself earns AI citations. It does give every crawler an unambiguous record of who you are, which feeds the classic indexing that AI retrieval leans on.

FAQ

Questions

Does schema markup help me get cited by ChatGPT?
Not directly, as far as anyone has measured. The one empirical test we know of (Search Atlas) found no correlation between schema coverage and LLM citation rates, and there is no peer-reviewed research. Schema may help indirectly by improving how classic search indexes your pages, and Microsoft has said it helps Bing's language models understand content. Treat it as hygiene, not a lever.
Which schema types should a local business have?
A LocalBusiness (or a more specific subtype such as Dentist, Plumber, or Attorney) with name, address, phone, opening hours, and service area; an Organization block with your logo and social profiles; and FAQPage on pages that answer customer questions in plain text. Keep it truthful: markup that does not match the visible page is a Google penalty risk.
The tool found no schema. Is that bad?
It is a to-do, not an emergency. Add a LocalBusiness block first. On a Tibly site this is generated for you from your business details; on other platforms most SEO plugins can emit it. Then spend your effort where the evidence points: plain-text pages that answer the questions customers ask, and complete Google Business Profile and Yelp listings.
