Hosting, answered.
- Do I need to buy hosting separately?
- No. Hosting is part of every Tibly plan, both on your Tibly subdomain and on a custom domain. There is no separate hosting bill and nothing to renew apart from the plan itself (and a domain, if you buy one).
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes, two ways. Buy a domain inside Tibly for one yearly price that covers registration, WHOIS privacy, DNS, and renewals, or connect a domain you already own: Tibly gives you the records to add at your registrar and confirms when routing and HTTPS are live. Custom domains are included on every plan.
- What happens to my Tibly subdomain once my domain is live?
- It redirects to your domain, so old links keep working, and the on-site editor moves over with the site. You can also add more than one domain; every domain you add serves the same site.
- Is HTTPS included?
- Yes. Every site serves over HTTPS, on the subdomain and on your own domain, with certificates issued and renewed automatically. You never install or renew a certificate yourself.
- I already have a website. Do I have to rebuild it?
- No. Import your current site into Tibly and keep your domain, or leave it where it is and add the Tibly editor to it. If all you want is to show up in AI search, you don't have to touch your site at all: Tibly writes AI-ready guides for you and publishes them on a subdomain of your own domain (like guides.yourcompany.com) with one DNS record. Import is free to try before you decide.
- Can I get my site back out?
- Your site's files are committed to a GitHub repository as they change, so there is always a copy of the code behind your pages outside Tibly. Domains you connect stay at your own registrar the whole time.
